InstaVR Launches Guided Co-Viewing for All Major VR Platforms, Including Google Cardboard (iOS/Android), Gear VR, Google Daydream, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and Web (Desktop/Mobile)

Clients Are Now Able to Remotely Administer VR Experiences Live in Headsets

(As of 2019, this feature is no longer available to InstaVR Free and InstaVR Pro users)

InstaVR, Inc., a virtual reality (VR) authoring, publishing, and analysis company, announced today the launch of Guided Co-Viewing, a solution that allows InstaVR clients to view, guide and update the VR experiences of their application users in real-time. The new feature enables InstaVR clients to simultaneously view the same virtual environment, facilitating live communication and collaboration, regardless of location.

Previously, InstaVR clients could only co-view virtual reality with their users if in the same physical space and using a VR headset that specifically mirrored to a television (e.g. HTC Vive or Oculus Rift). With Guided Co-Viewing, not only can InstaVR users co-view independent of geography, but one user can act as Administrator with a VR headset or phone, controlling the view of other selected users. These guided real-time VR experiences can be done either one-on-one or one-to-many. Guided Co-Viewing works with all the major VR platforms, including iOS, Android, Google Cardboard, Samsung Gear VR, Google Daydream, Oculus Go, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and Web (Desktop/Web). Internet connection is required.

Guided Co-Viewing will enhance the value of virtual reality across almost all major use cases, including VR for sales/marketing, training, research and education. For instance, a real estate agent in San Francisco can lead a live guided virtual tour of a home to potential buyers anywhere globally, showcasing the most important house features and answering questions in real-time. Or a corporate trainer can help onboard new employees through remote VR training, teaching and testing the VR users without having to be in the same room as them.

“Our goal at InstaVR is to empower clients to create meaningful VR experiences for a global audience” said Daniel Haga, Founder and CEO of InstaVR.  “Guided Co-Viewing takes virtual reality to the next level, facilitating real-time collaboration between our VR creators and their users, regardless of geography. We’re excited to see all the practical applications of Guided Co-Viewing and the value it brings to our clients.”

Guided Co-Viewing is being offered as an add-on module to InstaVR’s Pro service plan. To sign up for a free account to test out InstaVR’s virtual reality app creation platform, visit https://www.instavr.co
